June 18, 2025 - Tricia Stortz Audio Stories
I’m a reporter and audio producer with a background in journalism and psychology. I cover health and wellness with a focus on clarity, inclusion, and elevating underrepresented voices.
My work aims to spark deeper conversations around care, connection, and systemic change.
I report on mental health, community resilience, and the systems that shape how people access care and support. My work examines how schools, workplaces, healthcare systems, and public institutions serve people, as well as where those systems fall short, particularly for youth and underserved communities.
I’m especially interested in the real-world impact of systemic gaps, grassroots responses, and culturally responsive approaches to mental health. I also explore how policy, culture, and economics influence who has access to care and what that care looks like.
With formal training in psychology and experience working across urban and rural communities, I bring both a human-centered and systems-level perspective to my reporting. Through print and audio, I aim to make complex mental health issues clear, accessible, and grounded in the experiences of the people most affected by them.
At the heart of my work are the people working to create change.
